The Black Haze

Today is a bit overcast, rainy and cold.  It kind of reminds me of life.  The sin in life puts a black haze over the incredible peace that God gives when you are in relationship with Him. We all have things that we are ashamed of in the past or we are working on crap in the present that God is calling us to clean up.  If we spend our focus on this black haze and let it overtake us, it can trip us up.    We worry about what people would think if they knew.  So we keep our secrets.  But realalistic, a sin is a sin and in God’s eyes they are all equil.  I am so glad that God redeems and can lift that black haze off and give us new life in Him.
Today I read from The Quiet Place by Nancy DeMoss and she highlights Romans 15:30 ” Strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf.”  Who are you praying for?    She states in her writing “It is not possible that the son of so many tears should perish.”  Oh that comforts my heart.  Keep praying.  The last chapter is not written yet. He is still weaving your faithful, earnest prayers into His story for their lives.  That gives me hope.
Lord, I am thankful for the peace that you give.  I am grateful that you use the sin in life to bring us to our  knee’s so there can be reconciliation, forgiveness and new relationship in Him.
So the things that I know that causes the black haze is a tool you are using to bring life.  I can’t wait to see how the tapistry comes out.   I lift these to you Lord so you can continue your work.
