We are entering into the 6th week of the pamdemic. We had done what we could to comply with the stay at home order and we are looking forward to it ending soon.
It seems like everyday brings challenges. How to get groceries. What to do while people are home and the possible projects that can be done. How to get your social fix as you stay at home. Working at home or filing for unemployment. Emergency hospital visits and the frustrationg of not being able to see your loved on face to face to see how they are doing. Whether the challenge is big or small we are all facing anxiety.
Today listening to Max Lucado’s “anxious for nothing” he talks of being anxious. Boy, definitly the right time to hear this message. He references Pillippians 4: 4-8. Paul gives us instructions to us on how to deal with anxiety. Verse 4 says “rejoice in the Lord,” Verse 6 says “Be anxious for nothing, with supplication and thanksgiving let your requests be known to God” Verse 7 says “the peace of God will surpass all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds,” Verse 8 says “meditate on whatever is pure, lovely, good report, any virtue and praiseworth.” Great Word from the LORD today. Max goes into detail in this book if you want to enjoy the read with me.
Today it is very important to not forget about your mental health. It is easy to get distracted and to not do what keeps us in that right place with God. It is a lot of work to be able to connect with others when you have to be socially distance.
