Fear, and Trauma & Doorposts

Fear, and Trauma & Doorposts are the two categories left that we are covering that are roots of sin in A MORE EXCELLENT WAY by Henry W. Wright.  2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”  Fear means being afraid, scared, worried, anxious and concerned that something bad is going to happen to you.  Fear is the opposite of faith. By entertaining the spirit of fear, your actions are saying you cannot trust God and you have to take control of your own life.  Which authority are you going to listen to?
I have many people that come into counseling that experience fear.  They don’t think they have any control over their fear but they are wrong.  We do.  It is a choice if we have fear of faith.  What is your choice?

Traumas and Doorposts are used by Satan to have a foothold in our life.  If we have a trauma and we have not processed it with God, then in the future there could be triggers that take us to a place where Satan has control.  It may be so suttle that we don’t even recognize it for decades.  Then we are in the middle of heartache, bitterness, unforgiveness that affect our mind and our health.
Repentance is the way we can break these ties of sin that creates havoc in our lives.   Go back to page 161 and look at the 8 R’s to Freedom.  Once you have recognized these pitfalls then you can process in your relationship with God to get to Freedom.   Yes God is good.
