Seeking Approval

Beth today is talking about seeking the approval of other people.  I continue to struggle with the loss of Linda which makes me really lonely. We talked often and we wrote emails several times a week. I wonder if I was seeking approval from Linda?  I think what it was; we were practicing validating each other and listening to each other.  I hope I wasn’t trying to seek approval from her.  Hmm…..but do we have people in our lives that we do seek approval from?

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth.”  God wants us to seek only the approval of God. Taking seriously the command to share the gift that God has entrusted to us.  He wants us to correctly teach the word of truth.  So I only want to seek God’s approval. That is the only one that really counts in my book.  Beth states “Our means of  knowing the gospel so well it rolls off our tongues is studying the living, breathing brilliance of Him in the sacred pages.   What are you studying today?
Beth  quotes John 5:14 “While accepting glory form one anther, you don’t seek the glory that comes from the only God.”  I want that glory.   Beth says we cannot serve two Masters. We benefit a slave to the person we seek most to please.  Hmmm….Who are you seeking glory from?
