Are You a Deserter or a Refresher

Today in Entrusted, Beth is leading us through 2 Timothy 1: 15 -18.  She wants us to related being deserted.  Yes, we all have been deserted,  turned away from, left, left in the desert, alone, feeling parched, weather-beaten, stung by scorpions  and left in the howling winds.  Who have you been left by?  They are the ones that cut the deepest or the last one you’d ever have expected to abandonment you.
Then Beth leads us to being refreshed like Onesiphorus was to Paul. Being refreshed in your spirit brings joy, encouragement & love.  How would you feel if someone searched for you and found you. Yes, that is wonderful.  We want to be worth looking for.  They go to the trouble.
Psalms 139:1, 5-6 says “Lord, You have searched me and known me. You have encircled me; You have placed Your hand on me.  This extraordinary knowledge is beyond me.  It is loft; I am unable to reach it.”
We have talked about being deserted and being refreshed.  We all can related to having both of these things happen. But are we the deserter or the refresher?   I don’t know about you but I want to be a refresher. I want to encourage, give joy, and love. So today how about if we are a refresher?
