Escape from Freedom

As I continue to read THE ROADLESS TRAVELED by M. Scott Peck, MD in the section Escape from Freedom, I am trying to think what truths from the Bible can line up with what he says.

Deuteronomy 30:19 says “This day I call heaven and Earth as witness against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curses. Now  choose life, so that our and your children may live.”. God has given us choices. He has given us precepts that we can live by that can guide us and direct us but ultimately he give us choices on whether we follow them or not.  

Peck says our time is our own responsibility.  It is up to us how we decide how to use and order our time. If we want to invest our time more heavily in one area that is our choice and the consequences of that choice is our responsibility.  

Ecclesiastes 3:1 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven;” Life is full of seasons and stages.  As we go through these different times then it is hard to adjust to the change.  As we look at what our priorities are in life, then we can change to adapt to the new season or stage.  But ultimately it is up to us to figure it out.  It is intentional and deliberate.  If  not then we go through life letting our circumstances rule how we respond  and escaping from the freedom that we have.  It is our choice.  Words of Wisdom.  In my practice I have a lot of tools that I can share with will help you to be more deliberate and intentional with your life; to be able to live a life with no regrets.
