In The Quiet Place, we read scriptures that says “Set your mind on things that are above, not on things that are on Earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” Colossioans 3:2-3. Nancy talks about feelings that if they are left to roam will, they will likely lead you to think and do things that are not consistant with God’s plan for your life.
Feelings must be discipliented, managed and controlled. Your soul needs megadoses of the Word, to pump up your spiritual immunites and reserves, blocking the changes for wrong ways of thinking to infect your heart and put you out of commission.
So get your nose in the Bible, and see things for how they really are. I have been challanged to look at how I spend my time. How much time do I give God? I am all about a balanced life. I know we need to have our relaxing time, fun time, time to work on our physical bodies, family time and our work. But how much time to we really give to God? Good Question. When I stand before God is he going to say to me, “Well done good and faithful servant?” This is something that I need to ponder and work to resolve. How about you?
