Trust & Obey

Romans 12 : 1– MSG “God helping you; Take your everyday, ordinary life- your sleeping, eating, going-to work, and walking – around life – and place it before God as an offering. Fix your attention on God.  Readily recongnize what he wants for you, and quickly respond to it. God brings the best out of you, develops will-formed maturity in you.  God brings this goodness. Be what we were made to be.  Love from the center of who you are. Be inventive in hospitality.  Make friends with nobodies. Discover beauty in everyone.
This section from The Quiet Place by Nany DeMoss  talks of the 3rd piece of wisdom from her dad.  Whatevery he was going through was not about him but about God-about His eternal purposes, plans and glory.  God is not only sovereign but alas completely trustworthy- not only trustworthy but also loveing and good.  Trust and Obey. Trust comes from resting in God’s sovereignty, secure in the knowledge that He is Lord, that He maintains the right to do whatever He desires with His children’s lives. Obediece comes from surrendering to God’s sovereignty, not using hardship as an excuse for fretting, chafing, resisting or resenting.  Our responds needs to be “Yes Lord.” His will is “good and acceptable and perfect”.  It  always serves a purpose more valuable than we can see from our limited vantage point.
What a great Word of hope from our Heavenly Father.  As I sit in my quiet place I surrender my will to him and listen to his instructions.  I am so grateful this morning.
