With Freedom Comes Great  Responsibility…

Today Wright, in A MORE EXCELLENT WAY, shares that we see a glass darkly (1 Corinthians 13:12). He wants us to have a better life, he wants us to have a happier life, a saner life and a life filled with more health because the Word promises it to us. But there are conditions. With freedom comes great responsibility.  Submit yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7) What does resisting require?  In Second Corinthians 7:1  says we are to cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and the spirit.  Condemnation is from the devil. Conviction is from God because he loves us.
God wants us to prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers.  (3 John 1:2) God is faithful and He wants to bless us. He laid His life down, died for us and he wants to bless us. He wants you to be like Him.  2 Corinthians 3:18 Genesis 1:26 The work of God in the earth today is one of sanctification.  Often we will not receive healing and deliverance from God without first submitting to God. Humble yourself before God so he will raise you up in due season.  Matthew 6:33 says Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His Righteousness, then all things shall be added unto you.
Wright concludes this section  telling us that there is little sanctification being taught today and that is why we do not see many healed or delivered.  God will still do miracles today. He will not perform them unless the Church (us) submitted to Him in holiness. I don’t know about you but I want to see healing preformed.
As a therapist I hear so many excuses on why people don’t go to church. And why they are not in the Word.  I hear excuses about why they can’t be obedient.  But you know folks, we can control our time. We can control what we watch & read. We can control whether we are obedient or not.  We can choose to forgive. We can choose to love. We can choose because God gave us the ability to do just that.  Please choose God.
