Sanctify our Food with Thanksgiving…..

Yesterday in our A MORE EXCELLENT WAY GROUP, we talked about prayer at the dinner table.

Meal Time prayer is something that I have always struggled with.  My parents taught me to pray at meals. This is just what we did.  As a follower of Christ, I try to continue that practice but got a lot of flac, So I wasn’t as faithful in doing it.  Besides I have a great prayer life. I don’t really need to say meal time prayers.

1 Timothy 1 :4-5 says”For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it sancified by the word of God and prayer.”

So even though we try to eat what is good for us, by praying over our food, we can sanctify it with Thanksgiving.   Such a great concept and it is the Word of God.
